I have to confess its only been the past decade or so I've begun to really pay attention to politics and the workings there-in.
Yes, I think I can say safely and honestly, many opinions I may have had at one time or another were either the product of remarkable ignorance of said-subject or lucky guesses.
Meh....what can I say other than I'm probably not alone on that Island. I've learned a few things in that time but I see I have a long way to go.
So, it is of particular interest to me to welcome the new year with a somewhat new Congress. The old one being so stunningly bad that it seemed that most of the senators and representatives appeared to operating in some other reality or planet than our own.
Anyone with a conservative voice was promptly ignored and those that attempted to rise up and take a stand against the liberal onslaught were threatened, yelled down, scoffed, badmouthed, lied about, or sadly enough, paid off. Thank God there
were a few with morals that did their best to halt this country's ongoing march to Socialism. Bless em Lord and amen!
There appears to be a lot of new faces coming in but also some of old faces such as Nancy
Pelosi and Harry Reid who are oddly enough still on the payroll. Haven't figured out yet how that happened....
So, anyway it seems first on the agenda is to get the never-actually-read-by-anyone "
Obamacare" repealed. Works for me! (by the way, did you ever catch the
Pelosi audio byte about how "we need to get this past so we can see whats in it?" What kind of
nutburgers is that?! Lies upon lies,
pretension upon
pretension) I think I would refer to this as the "First step on the road back to reality".
Next up, I understand, is to get rid of some of the more goofy legislation like the banning of light bulbs. Yeah, you heard me, the banning of good old fashioned Edison incandescent light bulbs. You were not aware of this? Sadly, and as much as I loved and prayed for George W. Bush this was one of the last loony tunes things he did before he left office and how he got convinced that light bulbs were bad for the environment is beyond me.
The move on the banning of light bulbs actually got its start in Sweden and took off like wildfire in the sadly confused,
Greeny-
AlGoreGaia Worshiping-Global Warming-Earth is Fragile community. The idea was that these new bulbs GE came up with (you know, the now used all over twisty ones? The one that make your home and garage look like a morgue?) conserved energy and you wouldn't have to change them as much. Well, of course the science-is-settled crowd failed to inform the energy-using guilt-ridden public that these bulbs were filled with mercury! If they shattered or broke you couldn't get a normal vacuum to clean or the bits of mercury would go everywhere! Talk about bad for the environment. Then according to
EPA's own guidelines you had to call a hazard cleaner at your expense to take care of the mess and have the room and or the house sanitized depending on the level of contamination.
Today, Sweden is in the process of the having the ban on normal bulbs lifted, seeing as how the whole thing was and is a colossal failure. Much like such things as "Global warming/climate change/(insert name here)".
So...... I will be watching...Praying and curious as to what will transpire in these next couple years... Myself, I'm looking for Jesus to come back very soon as I always do. Israel seems to be in position and the demons driving her enemies are positively salivating for an attack (I think my next post will be all about the fascinating "
Stuxnet" virus that was made between Israel and the US that halted Iran's becoming a nuclear superpower for at least 2 years. Pretty wild stuff!).
That and if He doesn't come back that means I'm going to have two teenagers in my house. God help us all.
But seriously...... I do approach this new year with Hope, with Love, with Charity, with Faith and believing that this is going to be our best year yet! Amen. I truly to believe that we are in the last of the last days and the days are short to his return. We can talk politics till we are blue in face and sometimes it can be fun and frustrating but in the end we know that
Government and congresses and presidents can't save us, only our relationship with Jesus can and lets remember this year to Pray pray pray for all our elected officials and especially do not
forget Mr. Obama in the White House. Whew. Amen!
